Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT)

What is NPWT?

Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) closes wounds by applying a localized sub-atmospheric pressure, while providing a moist environment conducive to rapid wound healing.

What happens with NPWT?

This therapy accelerates healing by increasing oxygen flow to the wound, clansing the area of harmful bacteria and other substances that may slow wound healing down, and raise the production of chemicals that encourage tissue growth.
